2016 Race Results

2 April - Willowbank Raceway - Thunder 400 Sportsman Round

Overall the day was pretty good, once again I was the cherry queen, the car was consistent over the 4 runs - Dad, how about sticking to the game plan and not changing the dial-in at the last minute :)
First round loss to Maella Ward with me red lighting -0.026 and a breakout by 5000ths of a second 11.985- not that it made a difference with my red light!
The day was cruisy, the weather was wonderful and I got to hang with my special friends.
Thanks go to Stihl Australia for their continued support.
Thank you to the volunteers and officials of Willowbank Raceway and Caleb Oberg for his fantastic job of bracket marshall. Well done.

12 March - Warwick Raceway - WDDRA - Round 2

The weekend started with torrential rain on the Friday night and we were a little concerned that the meeting would be cancelled. We woke up on Saturday morning to wonderful sunshine, with a slight breeze which made the day pleasant.

 My first qualifier was 12.00, 2nd qualifier 12.173, 3rd qualifier 12.112, 4th qualifier 12.262, 5th qualifier 12.301.

Round 1 Reaction -0.089 @ 12.352

Round 2 Reaction -0.297 @ 12.545

Round 3 Reaction 0.13 @ 12.388

After 3 rounds of racing I was runner-up and top qualifier with 12.00 run. Thank you to Stihl for my sponsorship, Josh for the fantastic wrap, Uncle Dean and Aunty Kelly, Uncle Brian, Mike Inwood, Neil Murphy and Queensland Mustang Spares, my fantastic supporters (Uncle Michael, Aunty Suz, Pop and Nan), big brother Brian, crew chief Skylah, mum and dad, Dylan for a great race and the volunteers of Warwick Dragway for a fantastic day.

A special thanks to L & K Transport for sponsoring top qualifiers - we all appreciate it. (Next time mum will have the camera handy)

February 20 - JP 1/8th Mile Series Rnd 1

Unfortunately Round 1 Started Off in the RED

After Dad and I made some adjustments to the car after our 1 test run at the Willowbank QDRC Rnd 1 we headed off to Warwick for the opening 1/8th Mile Event. After solid qualifying performances in the low 12 sec time zone our combination seemed to be back to where we needed it to be for C/JD racing. I proved to be a tad too eager on the lights when it came to racing however, resulting in 3 tight red lights -0.009 and 2 identical -0.003's.Almost perfect lights - just on the wrong side. Car ran consistently on all 6 runs, the driver needs to get better with her lights lol.Thank you to Uncle Michael, Aunty Suz, Nan and Pop for coming up to watch me race and to Aunty Suz for helping Dad in the staging lanes while mum was busy taking pictures and running in her own bracket of Super Street.I couldn't continue to participate without the continued support of Stihl and my family.Thank you to all the Warwick Dragway volunteer staff who make racing at Warwick a real pleasure.A special thank you of course to Mr Winterburn for the $100 fuel voucher I was fortunate enough to win.We are looking forward to coming up in March for the next round of racing at Warwick Dragway.

February 13 - QDRC Rnd 1
1st Qualifier we didn't run due to a slight technical issue but dad got it fixed in time for the next qualifier.
2nd Qualifier - oh me oh my! -0.071 red light - the car is leaving quicker with the new clutch so I need to work on a new leave point. I ran 11.602 sec at 61.41mph. A double bad and put the car away (pity some other racers that went too quick weren't as honest as us)! Bonus is the chain stayed on and didn't look like coming off thanks to some pointers from Mr Barron.
Now we need to work on slowing the car down before Warwick next weekend. Poor dad is scratching his head.
Until next time ... Stay safe.
